Master's Program in Mathematics Education (with Thesis) will be established in 2024 within Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, Institute of Science, Department of Mathematics and Science Education. The language of instruction will be Turkish. |

Graduates of the undergraduate programs of the Mathematics Teaching or Elementary Mathematics Teaching departments of the Faculty of Education/Educational Sciences or the Mathematics department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, or equivalent programs accepted by YÖK from universities abroad can enroll in the program by meeting the minimum conditions specified in the Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Graduate Education Regulation. |
Graduates of the Mathematics Teaching or Primary Mathematics Teaching departments of the Faculty of Education/Educational Sciences or the Mathematics department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, or graduates of equivalent programs accepted by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) from universities abroad can apply to this program. |
The thesis master's program consists of at least 7 courses, a seminar course, a field of expertise course and thesis work, with a total of not less than 21 national credits. Seminar course, specialization course and thesis work are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The thesis master's program consists of a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including at least 8 courses, including the seminar course, and thesis work, provided that one academic year is not less than 60 ECTS credits. |
The aim of the program is to train expert individuals who have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience to do education, training and high-level research in the field of mathematics education, who can think critically, have high self-confidence and have the competencies to follow innovations in their field on a national and international scale. |

In order to register for the course at the beginning of the semester and take the final exam for each student, it is necessary to continue at least 70% of the courses and at least 80% of the practices. Students are subjected to at least one midterm and final exam for each course.The midterm exams contribution 40% to success grade, final exams contribution 60% to success grade.All exams are evaluated over 100 points.Students who has received a letter grade (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) are considered successful from that course. |
In order to successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all the courses available in the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS) and successfully complete the master's thesis. |

The educational activities of the department are conducted by 3 associate professors, 1 assistant professors and 1 research assistant. Lessons are held in classrooms equipped with computers and projectors within the Faculty of Education. Additionally, students can benefit from the computer laboratory, which is open throughout the day. |
