Specific Admission Requirements

In order to attend mba, the students are obliged to get at least 55 from ALES (Academic Staff and Graduate Education Entrance Examination). The foreign students are also accepted with limited quota according to YOS results (The examination for foreign student). Specific Admission Requirements: 1 – Bachelor’s degree, 2 - ALES Examination Result (ALES Equally Weighted.) 3 – Transcript (transkript) 4 – Foreign Language Examination Result (UDS, KPDS, TOEFL etc.)

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to graduate from this MBA program and earn the Banking and Finance Specialist degree, the students have to complete all the lessons successfully with at least 120 ECTS and they have to get at least 70 (CC) cumulative grade point average from 100 gpa.


Profile of The Programme

The main aim of this program is to gain deeper technical information and to see how to use current information on application. Other aims of the program can be listed; to improve the questioning skills of the students who gain theoretically substantial foundation after bachelor’s degree by using econometric and statistical methods on various economic problems that can be met in daily life, to enhancement the ability to model and solve these problems and to consider, comment and make policy on developing economic activities. Also to gain essential abilities on banking and finance to the students that are going to work as expert in public or private sector and to target the preparation process for the students who tend to PhD.

The graduates of the Department of Banking and Financing have excellent job opportunities in private sector as well as government ministries and agencies including Banks, Insurance companies, auditing companies, leasing and factoring companies.


Access to Further Studies

Students who have successfully completed this programme can go on doctorate education only if they pass ALES and have enough skill about English sufficiently.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

There are one midterm and one final exam in every term for each lesson. Each exam’s contribution of succeed point is the weighted average of midterm exam (%40) and final exam (%60). Top point for every exam is 100. Students who have AA, BA, BB, CB, CC letter marks are counted as successful.


Graduation Requirements

To complete the programme successfully the students who educated in master programme with thesis must have at least 9 lessons equal to at least 90 ECTS and a department seminar paper before thesis study. Students who failed one of these conditions are expelled from the institute in following four terms.

Facilities

Education activities of department are maintained with 1 associate professors, 2 assistant professors. The lesson’s are also maintained in classes that 45 people capacity and have projection equipment. Department students can benefit from the library and computer lab which are all day opened freely.
