Course Contents
Subject and fundamental Concepts in Electrochemistry: Electrochemical reactions, Laws of electrolysis, electrical units, Activity and activity coefficient of electrolytes. Electrical conductance of electrolytes. Ionic mobility and, relation between mobility of ions and their concentrations. Transport numbers of ions. Diffusion, equilibrium in ionic solution; Electromotive forces, chemical sources of current Electrical potentials at phase interfaces; Thermodynamics of electrochemical cells; structure of electrode-solution interface, dependence of electrode potential on concentration of , reference electrodes, standard electrode potentials in aqueous solution; EMF measurement as a method of physicochemical research; Electrolysis, Chemical sources of electric current; accumulators, fuel cells, conductive polymers Kinetics of electrochemical processes and corrosion
