Objectives of the Course
The regional economics primarily focuses on the locational analysis for production activities, regional economic dynamics, and regional economic development and policy. The topics in urban economics cover the locational analysis for urban business, externalities in cities, and urbanization in developing countries.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Learn and interpret the causes of regional disparities. PO-1 have information about basic economic topics and indicators.

LO-2 Make the comparison and interpretation of regional development tools. PO-6 have ability on examining and analyzing the effects of economic policies.

The course generally covers regional development differences and Turkey’s situation, and the policies of Turkey and several countries against regional development differences.
