Classification of polymers, the physical and chemical properties, and kinetic analysis of polymerization reactions. Molecular weight and molecular weight distribution. Polymerization reactions in homogeneous and heterogeneous systems. Ring opening polymerization and copolymerization. Stereospecific polymerization, Ziegler-Natta catalysts, and kinetic analysis
