Course Contents |
Introduction to Statistics: Description, brief historical account and importance of statistics. Fundamental Content of Statistics. Subject of statistics and basic concepts: unit, population and variable; definition and kinds of variables, scaling of variables and determination of scales. Collecting the data and illustrating by tables and graphs. Measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion. The frequency distributions of mean, median, mode and variance. Questionnaire survey. Probability. Distributions. Sampling. Z and t statistics. Confidence intervals. Hypothesis tests. Correlation coefficient. Chi-square analysis. ANOVA. Regression Analysis. |
