Objectives of the Course
The selection of the residential area, urban engineering geological characteristics of the units forming the basis for research, studies to determine the behavior of soil and rocks. Bearing capacity of foundation soils, mass resistance, Slope status, residence characteristics and effects of the earthquake waves, geological studies of urbanization, development plans and development plans based on the preparation of geological maps, the geology of the city in terms of selection (green areas, solid waste facilities, major construction sites, etc. ), the cities in terms of environmental geology problems and prevention methods, Earthquake, etc. to give information on issues.

Course Contents
Introduction, selection of a settlement, the importance of the basic ground, the ground floor and be able to be basic characteristics of rocks, determine the bearing capacity of basic soils, mass resistance, Slope status, residence, urban geology in terms of selection (green areas, solid waste facilities, major construction sites, etc.), Problems of cities in terms of environmental geology, seismicity.
