Objectives of the Course
To learn the basics of data communication and to learn the conditions to be considered in a data communication. To learn necessary protocols by learning architectures and OSI reference models used in communication systems and to determine the necessary conditions to increase the quality of data communication by learning the physical and software requirements of the system.

OSI Reference Model,Digital coding and methods,Basic band data transmission, data transmission with modulated carrier , modems,Serial, parallel communication,x.25, ISDN, Frame Relay, PPP, ATM, DSL technologies,Ethernet, Hub, Swtich, Router, Repeater,InternetProtocol, TCP / IP, IP address classes,IP6 protocol, innovations,Internet and Intranet. Interconnection and protocols,Quality in data communication: security, reliability, availability, sustainability,Protocols used in data communication: FTP, http, TELNET, H.323 etc,Structured Cabling in Data Communication.
