Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to examine international standards in transportation and logistics sectors.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can explain the basic logistics activities. PO-3 have basic theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of foreign trade
PO-4 have the ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate information related to foreign trade.
PO-13 use quantitative and qualitative methods in international trade and logistics problems.
Examination
LO-2 can comprehend the basic concepts of international transportation and logistics. PO-3 have basic theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of foreign trade
PO-4 have the ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate information related to foreign trade.
PO-5 communicate their ideas and suggestions related to foreign trade to the relevant people in written and oral form.
PO-9 be able to collect and analyse data on foreign trade; and be able to report and interpret obtained findings.
PO-13 use quantitative and qualitative methods in international trade and logistics problems.

Course Contents
Emergence of transportation and the development of transportation types, logistics sector and the technological developments in vehicle, system and management forms applied in transportation types such as air / land / sea / iron, transportation systems, definition of logistics, objectives, principles, basic logistics activities, logistics business processes, modern logistics applications, global logistics, land-sea-air-rail transport in Turkey and the birth and development of the logistics industry in the world.
