| This course aims to enable students to determine the causes of work accidents and occupational diseases, to determine the safety precautions in the workplace by gaining knowledge and skills for protection from work accidents and occupational diseases, and to evaluate them with the practices in the workplace by obtaining information about occupational health and occupational safety legislation. | |||||

| LO-1 | Has knowledge about the concepts, methods and tools that form the basis of the field of occupational health and safety. Follows, interprets and implements the legal regulations on occupational health and safety. |
PO-2 It acts in accordance with social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting, applying and announcing the results of the data related to the field. PO-3 They work individually and as a team member by using their basic knowledge in the field. PO-6 Interprets and evaluates data by using the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field, defines and analyzes problems and takes part in studies planned for solution. PO-13 They act in accordance with quality management and processes in their field and participate in these processes. |

| This course covers the basic concepts of occupational health and safety and historical development concepts; the duties, powers and responsibilities of the workplace doctor and occupational safety specialist in the workplace; risk, danger, primary, secondary, tertiary protection concepts; physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial risks; Occupational health and safety legislation in workplaces and practices in the workplace. | ||
