Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to recognize animal species and breeds and their basic anatomical features.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 The student learns the domestic animal species in veterinary anatomy and their places in zoological system. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
LO-2 The student learns the basic concepts of systematical anatomy. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
PO-12 Recognizes and uses the scientific knowledge.
LO-3 The student learns basic features of locomotor system and nervous system of the domestic mammals ( horse, cattle, sheep, goat, pig, dog, cat and etc.) and constant anatomical similarities and differences between them. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
PO-13 Follows current developments and skills required to be acquired by evaluating his knowledge and skills critically, identifies accurate information sources and has the competence to access information.

Course Contents
This course covers the comparative examination of animals in terms of body shape, body cover, support and movement system, nervous system and sensory organs, digestive system, respiratory system, circulatory system, excretory system, reproductive organs and development.
