Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to teach the diagnosis and general treatment methods of foot care in pets. |

LO-1 | Recognizes the anatomical, physiological and functional structure of the normal bovine nail and knows the factors affecting nail growth. |
PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features. PO-4 Recognizes parasitic infections and assists the veterinarian in further studies (vaccination, hygiene measures, medication etc.) for controlling the patients with models of infectious disease transmission. PO-9 Provides requested assistance to veterinarian during clinical examination, application of imaging methods, surgical applications ( management and administration of animals, monitoring of patiens under anesthesia etc.) PO-11 Carries out all kinds of applications planned by the veterinarian. PO-12 Recognizes and uses the scientific knowledge. |

This course includes foot anatomy, physiology, foot and nail care, importance of foot diseases, causes, formation mechanisms, clinical appearance, diagnosis, protection and treatment methods, nail care and cutting, diseases caused by faulty and wrong cutting, cattle, sheep and goats. covers foot care. | ||
