Objectives of the Course
It infroms the students about the subject, the method, aim of Political Sociology, studies conducted in the field of political sociology, the sociological analysis of the concept of politics, political culture and political culture types, the Turkish political culture, political parties, political socialization, propaganda and public opinion, pressure groups and types, and dimensions of political participation, democracy.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can defines the basic concepts about political sociology PO-2 2.Can transfer and adapt what they have acquired in the field of Sociology to other disciplines.
PO-3 3. Can develop creative, resourceful in terms of conducting sociological analysis and equipped with the communication and social skills necessary to take part in team work.

LO-2 Can explain Studies conducted in the field of political sociology, sociological analysis of the concept of politics and the issues related to political culture PO-4 4. Can have the skills to define, model and solve the sociological problems in the field of Sociology and related fields.
PO-5 5. Can dedicate to improve themselves by keeping abreast of the developments in science, technology and modern topics.
PO-6 6. Can assess and evaluate the data making use of the advanced knowledge and skills that they have acquired in the field, to define and analyze the issues connected with current technological developments finding ways to offer solutions to those issues based on the researched and evidence.

It includes concepts such as the method, aim of Political Sociology studies conducted in the field of political sociology, the sociological analysis of the concept of politics, political culture and political culture types, the Turkish political culture, political parties, political socialization, propaganda and public opinion, pressure groups and types, and dimensions of political participation, democracy.
