Objectives of the Course
This course gives information about the durability of concrete exposed to aggressive environmental conditions that are taken into consideration in the standards and specifications like TS EN 206 Concrete Standard, ACI 318 and Eurocode 2 for design and material selection.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Identify the factors related to environmental exposure conditions and concrete properties and ingredients, which may affect the service life of a structure. Compare measurement and prevention techniques applied for various environmental attacks PO-1 An ability to apply knowledge of basic engineering sciences and earth sciences for the solution of geological engineering problems.
PO-4 An ability to obtain to determine, identify, formulate and solve complex engineering problems and with this purpose in mind, to be able to choose proper methods of analysis and modeling.
