Objectives of the Course
This lecture aims to cause the students to earn the studing styles related to observation, measurement, dawing and collecting of different samples from the initial planning stage to the preparation of the final report in a geologic study.

Course Contents
Introduction,topographic maps and topographic sections;attitudes of planar and linear structures; compass, its features, and the measuremet of attitudes of planar and linear structures with the compass; geological sections, outcrop forms of stratified rocks and their dephts; geological maps and information of geological map; rule of V's; three-point problems and contour lines; drawing of contacts by profiting from contour lines; determination of the vertical slip of faults; unconformities, faults and folds on the geological maps; effects of fault, fold and erosion on outcrops; interpretation of geological maps, writing of geological report.
