Objectives of the Course
The main aim of this course is to provide Turkish teacher candidates with basic information about reading education (basic concepts, historical process, etc.); physical and mental elements of reading; memory and its properties (short-term memory, long-term memory, recollection, semantic memory and procedural memory); relationship between reading vocabulary and vocabulary; Caution; reading defects; reading processes; development of reading skills; fluent reading (aloud and silent fluent reading techniques); reading according to text types, educational environments for reading skills; reading methods and techniques; measuring and evaluating reading skills; It is aimed to gain knowledge and experience about designing reading activities.
