Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to analyze the factors affecting athletes’ identity development and performance; to gain in-depth knowledge about topics such as athletic identity formation, sports culture, motivation, leadership, ethics, and fair play; and to acquire the ability to integrate this knowledge into practical applications.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Analyze the formation processes of athlete identity and the factors affecting these processes. PO-8 Gains knowledge in sports psychology, leadership, and motivation and can apply this knowledge while working with athletes.

LO-2 Manage team dynamics by applying motivation theories and leadership styles in sport. PO-8 Gains knowledge in sports psychology, leadership, and motivation and can apply this knowledge while working with athletes.

LO-3 They can adopt ethical values and fair play principles in sports and put these values into practice. PO-13 Acquires theoretical knowledge in sports management and organization and can apply it in the sports industry.

Course Contents
This course includes the definition and formation of athletic identity and the influence of social factors; theories of motivation in sport, sources of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and their effects on performance; leadership styles in sports, team communication, and the impact of cohesion on performance; ethical values in sports, the concept and applications of fair play; methods for developing psychological resilience in athletes and strategies for coping with stress; performance assessment techniques, feedback, and development strategies.
