Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the fundamental concepts, theories, and practices of sports media and public relations; to develop effective communication strategies within sports organizations; and to professionally manage media relations.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Will be able to understand the basic concepts and theories in the fields of sports media and public relations. PO-11 Adopts multidisciplinary approaches in sports sciences and can collaborate with other disciplines.
PO-13 Acquires theoretical knowledge in sports management and organization and can apply it in the sports industry.

Course Contents
This course includes the historical evolution and current role of sports media; the definition, importance, and core principles of public relations; strategies and practices of public relations within sports clubs and organizations; techniques for preparing press releases, managing media relations, and organizing press conferences; communication strategies during crises in the sports sector and approaches to maintaining institutional reputation; the use of digital platforms and social media strategies in sports media; and the instruction of ethical principles and legal regulations in sports media and public relations.
