Objectives of the Course | |||||
This course addresses the psychological aspects of exercise and sport and aims to provide students with an understanding of the psychological factors that influence individuals' participation in physical activity. It also provides students with the skills to develop and apply psychological strategies to improve athletes' performance. |

Basic concepts of exercise and sport psychology; motivation theories and their effects on sport performance; mental training, goal setting, imagery and relaxation techniques; stress, anxiety and sport performance; group dynamics and team communication; self-efficacy, self-confidence and self-regulation strategies; physical activity and psychological well-being; methods of developing psychological resilience in athletes; the role of exercise in depression, anxiety and stress management; ethical principles and professional practices in sport psychology; leadership and coaching psychology in sport; applied studies of performance enhancement and mental preparation techniques. | ||
