Objectives of the Course | |||||
This course addresses the psychological aspects of exercise and sport and aims to provide students with an understanding of the psychological factors that influence individuals' participation in physical activity. It also provides students with the skills to develop and apply psychological strategies to improve athletes' performance. |

This course includes the fundamental concepts of exercise and sport psychology; motivation theories and their effects on sports performance; mental training, goal setting, imagery, and relaxation techniques; the relationship between stress, anxiety, and performance; group dynamics and team communication; strategies for self-efficacy, self-confidence, and self-regulation; the link between physical activity and psychological well-being; methods for developing psychological resilience in athletes; the role of exercise in managing depression, anxiety, and stress; ethical principles and professional practices in sport psychology; leadership and coaching psychology in sports; and practical applications of performance enhancement and mental preparation techniques. | ||
