ACIGOL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES / LABORATUAR TECHCNOLOGY

History

Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Acıgöl Vocational School of Technical Sciences was established in accordance with the Higher Education General Assembly meeting of YÖK dated 11/01/2018 and in accordance with Article 7 / d-2 of Law No. 2547 of Law No. 2847.


Qualification Awarded

Students who have successfully completed all courses in the program (equivalent to 120 ECTS in total) and who obtain at least 2.0 weighted grade point average over 4.00 and who have obtained 4 ECTS (30 working days) workplace internship are awarded with Associate Degree in Laboratory Technology.

Specific Admission Requirements

Within the framework of the regulations determined by the Higher Education Council (YÖK), admission to this program is carried out by a central examination system called YKS. The students are placed in the related programs by the Student Selection and Placement Center according to the scores from the exams given by the students.


Specific Arrangement For Recognition of Prior Learning

Students studying at Hacı Bektaş Veli University in Nevşehir may be exempted from certain courses in accordance with certain regulations. If the content of the course taken in another institution is appropriate to the content of the course given in NHBVU and approved by the related faculty / institute directorate, the student may be exempted from this course.


Qualification Requirements and Regulations

In order to obtain a associate degree in the field of Laboratory Technology, students must complete all the required and elective courses (total 120 ECTS) in the program and the GPA must be at least 2.0 weighted grade point average over 4.00 and in addition, they must complete an internship for 30 working days.


Profile of The Programme

Laboratory Technology program is based on universal ethics and values, has adopted the concepts and principles related to the subject, can follow the new systems, and technological methods, have the ability to design new products, design, and control the quality, including the work of the quality, including work preparation, design, laboratory and aims to train technical staff who can take part in production units.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Each student must register for the courses at the beginning of the semester and must attend at least 70% of the courses for at least 80% of the courses in order to take the final exam. Students are subjected to at least 1 midterm and final exam for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam (mid-term exam grade, homework, laboratory test, quiz, etc. points obtained from the measurement tools can be evaluated) contribution of 40%, 60% of the contribution to the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. Students are required to take at least 45 points from the final exams. Students taking one of the (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) AND (CC) letter grades from a course are considered successful. DC and DD are conditionally successful grades. In order to be successful in a course with a DC or DD grade, the student must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.


Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate from this program; Students are required to have a minimum of 120 ECTS credits, and have at least 2.00 GPA out of 4.00, and complete their compulsory internship within the specified time and qualification.
