Objectives of the Course
To gain knowledge, skills and behavior for defining the needs of pre-operative, during surgery and post-operative needs of the surgical patients and his family, solving the problems of surgical patients according to nursing process

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Will be able to practice nursing approach with holistic tought and appropriate nursing process on individuals with surgical disease PO-1 1. Using the knowledge , abilities and behaviours that has been gained during the employment in the circumtances of health to illness professionally according to vocational standards from birth till death.
PO-12 12. Being able to coordinate the required nursing service on protecting , developing or enhencing health of person/family/society health.
PO-13 13. Using the critical thinking and problem solving ablility on protecting , developing or enhancing health of person/family/society health.

Course Contents
This course covers the evidence-based information about systemic diseases surgery nursing, the perioperative care of the surgical patient, the care of the critical patient, and the theoretical and practical skills that will be necessary to minimize risky situations for the patient and health personnel.
