Objectives of the Course
The main aim of this course is to equip students with main principles of agedness and knowledge on the condition of elder person throughout the world including Turkey.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Students will be able to explain the factors that affect the basic definitions of old age and aging. PO-1 Elder care and access to basic scientific knowledge, assessment, and has to apply the knowledge.
PO-3 The basic level of knowledge and skills acquired in the field of elderly care, and evaluates the data using the comments, problems, identifies, analyzes, and the solution takes place for the planned studies / take responsibility.
PO-4 The old and the physical, mental, and social change defines, in accordance with the requirements of the care that gives directions.
PO-5 Elder care about the data collection, interpretation, and publicizing the results of the implementation stages of the social, scientific, cultural, and act in accordance with ethical values.
Examination
LO-2 Students will be able to identify information needed for a healthy and active aging. PO-1 Elder care and access to basic scientific knowledge, assessment, and has to apply the knowledge.
PO-3 The basic level of knowledge and skills acquired in the field of elderly care, and evaluates the data using the comments, problems, identifies, analyzes, and the solution takes place for the planned studies / take responsibility.
PO-4 The old and the physical, mental, and social change defines, in accordance with the requirements of the care that gives directions.
PO-5 Elder care about the data collection, interpretation, and publicizing the results of the implementation stages of the social, scientific, cultural, and act in accordance with ethical values.
PO-10 Life-long learning is conscious.
Examination
LO-3 Students will be able to detect the problems on elder health conditions. PO-2 Elder care monitors events and developments related to the agenda of the country and the world will follow.
PO-3 The basic level of knowledge and skills acquired in the field of elderly care, and evaluates the data using the comments, problems, identifies, analyzes, and the solution takes place for the planned studies / take responsibility.
PO-4 The old and the physical, mental, and social change defines, in accordance with the requirements of the care that gives directions.
PO-15 The quality of care for elderly individuals and the health care team members and evaluates the results.
Examination
LO-4 Students will be able to propose solutions to elderly health problems. PO-3 The basic level of knowledge and skills acquired in the field of elderly care, and evaluates the data using the comments, problems, identifies, analyzes, and the solution takes place for the planned studies / take responsibility.
PO-5 Elder care about the data collection, interpretation, and publicizing the results of the implementation stages of the social, scientific, cultural, and act in accordance with ethical values.
PO-9 Elder care practices related to the health care team members to solve complex problems encountered and unforeseen will cooperate with.
PO-14 Elderly care issues related to expert opinion and suggestions for solutions to problems and people who do not share that.
