Objectives of the Course
The student will learn general information about sociology. The subject, method and interested fields will be taught. As well as the sociological look, thought and evaluation.

Course Contents
General information about sociology will be given. The birth, development, history and pioneers of sociology will be introduced. The definition, subject, method, research methods, and techincs will be given. Contect with neighboring social sciences will be taught. The contect within history and sociology will be emphasized. Society, social institutions, social differentiation, change, population and population movement- migration, urbanization and urban issues will be addressed. Thinking skills and point of view of sociology will be gained.
