Objectives of the Course
Within the scope of this course, materials used in the production of alkali-activated binders, usage areas, advantage and disadvantages of alkali-activated binders in comparison with Portland cements, design parameters, production methods and durability of alkali-activated binders are given in detail.

LO-1 To define the properties of alkali-activated binders and the other alternative binders PO-1 An ability to apply knowledge of basic engineering sciences and earth sciences for the solution of geological engineering problems.
PO-4 An ability to obtain to determine, identify, formulate and solve complex engineering problems and with this purpose in mind, to be able to choose proper methods of analysis and modeling.
