Objectives of the Course
To comprehend the nature, sources, basic and side elements of Turkish epics according to ages and regions and to examine them in terms of folklore.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Students can compare Turkish epics in terms of type, source, basic and side elements according to ages and periods. PO-1 Graduates of Turkish Folklore Department have basic and general knowledge about discipline.
PO-2 Students will learn the basic theories and applications of folklore.
PO-3 Learn the theories and concepts of folklore with the epistemological foundations and apply them to the materials they collect in their professional lives.
Examination
LO-2 Gain the ability to examine Turkish epics in terms of performers and content. PO-4 They will have knowledge about the approaches and methods developed in folk culture and will be able to prepare and apply lesson plans and activities appropriate to these methods.
PO-16 Performs interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary teamwork.

LO-3 Evaluate the concepts and terms used in epic analysis and research. PO-7 They produce knowledge about society and use the information they produce in solving economic, social and technological problems.
PO-8 They will be able to analyze the basic elements of culture and to take an active role in the protection of the information channels that protect the identity of the society through their inferences.

LO-4 Explain the relationship between oral culture products. PO-5 Graduates of the Department of Turkish Folklore will be able to analyze the processes of creation, transfer and execution of folklore products and analyze the changes and transformations of public life.
