Objectives of the Course
To give general information about the studies in the field of Turkish folk tales and to introduce the transformations of tradition to the students.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Have information about the origins of folk tales. PO-1 Graduates of Turkish Folklore Department have basic and general knowledge about discipline.
PO-4 They will have knowledge about the approaches and methods developed in folk culture and will be able to prepare and apply lesson plans and activities appropriate to these methods.
PO-16 Performs interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Examination
LO-2 Comprehends the general characteristics of folk tales. PO-5 Graduates of the Department of Turkish Folklore will be able to analyze the processes of creation, transfer and execution of folklore products and analyze the changes and transformations of public life.
PO-6 They have a high level of knowledge about theories and methods in the field of Turkish folklore. They can approach problems in this field in a methodological and analytical way and offer solutions.
PO-24 To be able to transfer scientific knowledge clearly and competently.
Examination
LO-3 Have information about Dede Korkut stories. PO-8 They will be able to analyze the basic elements of culture and to take an active role in the protection of the information channels that protect the identity of the society through their inferences.

LO-4 Can classify folk stories. PO-3 Learn the theories and concepts of folklore with the epistemological foundations and apply them to the materials they collect in their professional lives.
PO-10 They can reach scientific results that can bring innovation to Turkish Folklore discipline through original academic studies.
