To teach the basic concepts, approaches, types, structures, traditions and functions of Turkish entertainment culture. |

LO-1 | Learns the basic concepts and approaches of Turkish entertainment culture. |
PO-1 Graduates of Turkish Folklore Department have basic and general knowledge about discipline. PO-4 They will have knowledge about the approaches and methods developed in folk culture and will be able to prepare and apply lesson plans and activities appropriate to these methods. PO-5 Graduates of the Department of Turkish Folklore will be able to analyze the processes of creation, transfer and execution of folklore products and analyze the changes and transformations of public life. |

Turkish entertainment culture: basic concepts and approaches, types of entertainment (ritualistic, official, transitional periods, seasonal, regional festivals, fairs, urban life-based entertainments etc.), structure of entertainment (music, dance, food, play, literature, clothing vd.), the functions of entertainment (social, cultural, economic, political, etc.), the changing world of entertainment (festival, graduation ceremony, Valentine's Day, Christmas, parties, virtual entertainment, entertainment camps and parks etc.) | ||
