Objectives of the Course
to learn about the reason for the start of Turkish modernization, innovations in the next process, the effects of innovations on innovations in the Republican Period.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 can understand modernization movements in the Ottoman Empire PO-1 Able to conceptualize historical events and phenomenon with scientific methods and techniques by expert appraisal.
PO-2 Able to use interdisciplinary approaches during the study
PO-3 Able to define the information acquired at the level of expertise, evaluate critically and analyze the information which was obtained.
PO-4 Able to access to historical datas, interpret these datas and assess the reliability and validity of these datas
PO-6 Able to develop applicable materials in the area of history
PO-10 Able to establish oral and written communication in a foreign language on a B2 level of European Language Portfolio.
PO-13 able to develop customs suitable for democracy, human rights and scientific and professional ethics.
