Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to convey the theoretical development of the student economy as a social science. For this purpose, students are taught both the development of the history of economic thought and the methods used in this development. This derste is introduced from the Ancient Greek economic thought to the kindergarten and thinkers of economic thought. Mercantilism, classical political economics and the trends of economic thought (such as German historiography school, Marxist economics), neoclassical economics, institutional economics, Keynesian economics and modern schools of economic thought constitute the subjects of this course. This course is not an economic history lesson, but the economic framework developed by economic thought also teaches students. |

Course Contents | ||
This course is one of the most important areas of the economy as it deals with the current economic trends from a historical point of view and explains the stages from day to day. The development of this derste economics will be assessed with an emphasis on methodological and analytical questions in the historical process and an alternative to the main economic thesis. First, the historical development process of the market system will be examined by drawing a general framework that examines the dynamic relation between the theories. Later, each thought school will be addressed in chronological order. | ||
