Objectives of the Course
To teach the morphological, anatomical and systematic features of mosses, liverworts, and hornworts.

The peculiar features of bryophyte life cycle, evolutionary and origin an the criteria for an evolutionary explanation, mosses, liverworts and hornworts morphology, anatomy and classification, Eco-physiology of bryophytes, biochemical and molecular mechanisms developed by mosses against drought, population and community ecologyof bryophytes, conservation biology of bryophytes.
