Objectives of the Course
To give the students the ability to choose the texts to be used in the language and literature teaching process in the direction of Turkish teaching principles.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Learn the concept and features of text in linguistic terms. PO-1 An MA student has theoretical and practical knowledge depending on his bachelor’s degree proficiencies on an expertise level on Turkish Education; improves and deepens this knowledge.
Examination
LO-2 Knows linguistic variables related to text types and level of texts. PO-3 An MA student uses the theoretical and practical knowledge at the level of expertise gained from his field and improves and deepens this knowledge.

LO-3 Know text selection criteria in Turkish language teaching curriculum. PO-6 An MA student constructs a problem in his field, develops solutions, solves, evaluates the results and applies them when necessary.

Course Contents
This course includes the features of instructive texts (articles, criticism, essays, jokes / columns, conversations, interviews, memories, memoirs / memoirs, biography) to be used in Turkish, the features of fictional texts (epics, fairy tales, fables, stories and novels), the features of lyrical texts (poetry), dramatic texts (play) and form writings (CV, petition, letter, telegram, report, decision, announcement / announcement, report, notification and official writings); the topics on how they should be used in Turkish teaching activities.
