Objectives of the Course
The goal of this course is to understand the basic principles, processes and concepts of psychology of learning, including classical conditioning, operant conditioning, cognitive, social cognitive and sociocultural approaches as well as motivation and brain-based learning processes, and to associate this information with other subfields of psychology.

LO-2 can explain the basic principles of classical and operant conditioning. PO-1 Knows the basic concepts related to psychology.

LO-3 can compare classical and operant conditioning processes and evaluates their similarities and differences. PO-3 Identifies, models and solves scientific problems in psychology and related fields.
PO-6 Interprets and evaluates data using advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field, identifies and analyzes problems parallel to current technological developments, and develops solutions based on research and evidence.
Examination
LO-4 can relate einforcement theories (drive reduction, incentive motivation, Premack principle, response deprivation, etc.) to examples in daily life and clinical practice. PO-3 Identifies, models and solves scientific problems in psychology and related fields.
PO-6 Interprets and evaluates data using advanced knowledge and skills acquired in the field, identifies and analyzes problems parallel to current technological developments, and develops solutions based on research and evidence.

LO-5 can define cognitive, social cognitive, and sociocultural learning theories and relate them to other subfields of psychology. PO-1 Knows the basic concepts related to psychology.
PO-2 Adapts and transfers the knowledge they have acquired in the field of psychology to other disciplines

Course Contents
This course covers the historical development of learning psychology, the principles of classical and operant conditioning processes, reinforcement theories, cognitive and verbal learning, social cognitive and sociocultural theories, motivation and affect, and brain-based learning approaches. In addition, current theoretical perspectives and findings in these areas are discussed.
