To teach the development and basic elements of historiography starting from ancient times to the mid-nineteenth century. |

PO-1 To have the ability to conceptualize the events and facts related to the field of history such as Prehistory, Ancient History, Medieval Era, New Age, Modern Age, and the Era we are in with the help of the scientific methods and techniques and define these concepts. PO-2 Discover, assess, analyze, and evaluate the correctness, reliability, and validity of historical data. PO-3 Define the historical problems, evaluate with a critical approach, analyze with theoretical and applied knowledge. |

-The phases of historiography starting from the early ages, starting from the basic criteria of modern historiography. -History of Heredot and Tukidides based on the structure, subject and who he is for. Roman history writing and features; Innovations brought by Christianity: chronological phases and universality Narrowing and god-based history design in medieval historiography The development of the human oriented understanding of history seen with the Renaissance -The process of comparison of historical texts and the effect and contribution of skeptical and critical thinking to historiography The influence of skepticism and criticism seen in Descartes, Voltaire in the historiography New era and evidence based historiography starting with Kan -Reaching the right historical information, learning the facts XIX. developments in the 21st century Re-importance of historiography with the formation of national states Transformation from dynasties and kings to holistic history | ||
