Objectives of the Course
To examine the content of Dede Korkut texts, which are one of the main works of Turkish culture, and how it is a source of Turkish cultural history and analysis of the characteristics in the Turkish epic tradition.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 The student will gain awareness on the analysis of the characteristics of the Book of Dede Korkut as a text and the fields that the book of Dede Korkut feed in terms of Turkish folk literature and cultural Turkish history. PO-2 grasp the interdisciplinary interaction of their field of study and conduct joint studies with different fields of study.
PO-4 use the relevant research methods and techniques and have both theoretical and practical knowledge in their field of study.
PO-7 carry out independent studies requiring expertise related to their field of study
PO-14 collect data related with their field of study, review and put them in practice, checking them in the process of announcing the results and taking into consideration the scientific, cultural, artistic, social and ethical values.
PO-16 grasp the knowledge related to their field of study and make it public in line with the norms.
