Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge and skills about tour planning, designing and guiding services in the field of religious tourism. |

PO-1 Understand, analyze and examine the contribution of tourism to peace and intercultural dialogue by taking the operational process of tourism industry and the roles of actors in the system into consideration; and generate solutions which can increase the contribution of tourism to reconciliation, sympathy and tolerance within societies. PO-3 Apprehend the belief systems, historical development and process of human actions based on faith and religion within a global scale; appraise, analyze, examine these issues and generate solutions to problems with an unbiased, objective, scientific and ethical comprehension. PO-4 Follow, interpret and discuss the developments in religious and faith-based tourism and develop scientific solutions with interdisciplinary and holistic approach. |

Course Contents | ||
Within the scope of this course, the relationship between distribution channels in tourism, travel agents, tour operators and travel agencies, tour concept and parts of the tour package, destination research, creating new destinations and agreements with suppliers, tour route planning in faith tourism, tour operation stages in faith tourism, international the role, responsibilities and characteristics of a tour manager, the post-tour phase and the legal legislation of the tour, types and characteristics of the tourist participating in faith tourism, communication with tour participants and resolving tourist complaints, faith tour routes in the world and in Turkey, social interaction and conflict management issues in faith tourism It will be discussed. | ||
