Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to gain general information about basic beekeeping and breeding criteria, bee body structure, colony and vital characteristics, bee breeds, bee products, bee diseases and pests.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Gains knowledge about bee breeds grown in different parts of the world and in Turkey and beekeeping. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.
PO-11 Carries out all kinds of applications planned by the veterinarian.
PO-12 Recognizes and uses the scientific knowledge.
Examination
LO-2 Learns basic information about bees' body structure, behavioral characteristics and colony life. PO-1 Recognize animal species and breeds, structural and functional (anatomical, histological, physiological and biochemical, etc.) basic features.

This course covers the state of beekeeping, anatomy and physiology of bees, beekeeping, materials used in beekeeping and bee diseases.
