Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to analyze the purpose and basic principles of mathematics teaching, the purpose, content, teaching-learning process and evaluation dimensions of the primary school mathematics curriculum, to develop and evaluate teaching-learning activities related to the subjects in the learning areas. |

This course includes fractions, student difficulties in learning fractions, different meanings of fractions, fraction models, equivalence, comparison, ordering, operations with fractions, decimal fractions, operations with decimal fractions, geometry, development of geometric thinking in children, 2 and 3 dimensional geometry subjects and their teaching, measurement and measures, development of the idea of measurement in children, size, area, volume, time measurements, weighing, our money, data management, tables and graphics, measurement and evaluation in mathematics education, multiple measurement-evaluation methods and techniques, related subjects in primary school mathematics curriculum, It includes achievements and examples of appropriate activities. | ||
