Objectives of the Course | |||||
The main aim of this course is to teach Turkish language teacher candidates, concepts of acquisition and learning, basic information about language acquisition processes, working principle of the brain in language acquisition, areas of the brain related to language acquisition, neurological and environmental factors in language acquisition, phonology acquisition, vocabulary acquisition. It is aimed to gain knowledge and experience about syntax acquisition, meaning acquisition, bilingualism and multilingualism, language acquisition theories, second language acquisition in early childhood, foreign language learning methods and techniques in early childhood, individual differences in foreign language learning. |

PO-1 Has advanced theoretical and applied knowledge supported by textbooks containing up-to-date information in the field, application tools and other resources. PO-2 Uses advanced theoretical and practical knowledge within the field. PO-3 Interprets and evaluates data, defines and analyzes problems, develops solutions based on research and proofs by using acquired advanced knowledge and skills within the field. PO-5 Takes responsibility both as a team member and individually in order to solve unexpected complex problems faced within the implementations in the field. PO-7 Evaluates the knowledge and skills acquired at an advanced level in the field with a critical approach. PO-8 Determines learning needs and directs the learning. PO-9 Develops positive attitude towards lifelong learning. PO-10 Informs people and institutions, transfers ideas and solution proposals to problems in written and orally on issues in the field.
