Objectives of the Course | |||||
he main aim of this course is to raise awareness about language as a dynamic system; to know the basic concepts of linguistics; To have general information about its history and theories, to teach language to examine from a linguistic point of view. In addition, to teach the interaction and sub-fields of linguistics with other disciplines; Saussure and the birth of structuralism; Saussure and the basic concepts he brought to linguistics; Chomsky and generative linguistics; other linguistic circles and basic linguistic theories; basic study areas of linguistics; phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, textlinguistics; Linguistic fields arising from the interaction of linguistics with other disciplines: sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, cognitive linguistics, neurolinguistics and linguistic studies in Turkey, etc. to address the issues. |
