Objectives of the Course
To examine the concept of mental health, the importance of mental health at school, the definition of normal and abnormal behaviors, the definition and causes of childhood mental disorders and adjustment problems, and to raise awareness of children's mental health in students.

Course Contents
Definition and importance of mental health; historical development of mental health; theories about mental health; characteristics of individuals with and without mental health; behavior and adaptation problems seen in children [stuttering, not being able to speak (mutism), bedwetting (enuresis), stool incontinence (encopresis), finger sucking, nail biting, aggression, jealousy, tics, stubbornness, sleep disorders, eating habits disorder, fear, attention. deficiency and hyperactivity, fear of school, stealing, lying] diagnosis and treatment; the effects of special situations in the family (divorce, step-parent, death of the parent, etc.) on the mental health of the child.
