Objectives of the Course
To enable pre-service teachers to construct the concepts of logic, proof, set, relation, function, permutation and operation, which are the basic concepts of mathematics, and to develop their operational and conceptual skills for these concepts.

LO-1 Knows symbolic logic and proof techniques and makes different proof applications. PO-2 Has the information about the nature, source, limit, accuracy, validity and reliability of knowledge.
PO-3 Explains the concepts and the relations between concepts related to the field at a level that can meet the needs of the students.
PO-7 Uses mathematical language accurately and effectively in their mathematics courses and in planning learning and teaching process.
PO-10 Has knowledge about the nature and historical development of mathematics.
PO-12 Generates modelling and solutions relating problems in mathematics and other disciplines.
Examination
LO-2 Comprehends set, algebra of sets, sets of sets, fragmentation of set sets, product sets, makes different applications and proves theorems related to them. PO-2 Has the information about the nature, source, limit, accuracy, validity and reliability of knowledge.
PO-7 Uses mathematical language accurately and effectively in their mathematics courses and in planning learning and teaching process.
PO-10 Has knowledge about the nature and historical development of mathematics.
PO-12 Generates modelling and solutions relating problems in mathematics and other disciplines.

LO-3 Understands the relation, the reverse of the relation, the resultant of the relations and makes different applications. PO-3 Explains the concepts and the relations between concepts related to the field at a level that can meet the needs of the students.

LO-4 It defines equivalence and order relation and explains and exemplifies some basic concepts such as partially ordered set, fully ordered set. PO-2 Has the information about the nature, source, limit, accuracy, validity and reliability of knowledge.
