Objectives of the Course | |||||
In this course, it is aimed to provide pre-service teachers with the skills of preparing and applying a lesson plan in accordance with the learning outcomes in the curriculum by providing them with the aims of science teaching in general, science literacy, teaching methods and techniques commonly used in science teaching, common misconceptions in science, and basic techniques for eliminating them. |

Objectives of science teaching, science literacy; widely used learning theories in science teaching, common misconceptions in science, teaching strategies, methods, techniques, materials and practices (presentation teaching strategy, discovery learning strategy, cooperative learning, demonstration); laboratory techniques, laboratory safety, use of simple materials in science teaching, concept teaching and use of graphical tools (concept map, v-diagram, charts of what I know-I wonder-learned, etc.), teaching technique with analogies, combining analogy, etc.); use of scientific models in science teaching; Preparation and implementation of a lesson plan based on the use of teaching methods and techniques. | ||
