Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes about the teaching strategy, method, technique, material and applications that are widely used in science teaching. |

LO-1 | can explain the characteristics of strategies, methods, techniques, materials and applications commonly used in science teaching. |
PO-1 Having the knowledge of teaching programs, teaching strategies, measurement and assessment methods related to the field. PO-4 Conceptualization of events and facts about the area, using scientific methods and techniques to solve problems. PO-5 Applying the appropriate teaching strategies, methods and techniques, taking into account the characteristics of the subject area, developmental properties and learning patterns of students who are at the second grade of elementary education. PO-6 Recognizing Science Program prepared by Ministry of Education and ability to implement this program. PO-17 evaluates knowledge and skills acquired in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Education critically and uses them in solving problems. |

In this course, basic concepts about science teaching and teaching strategies used in science teaching (investigation and inquiry-based teaching strategy, argumentation, concept cartoons, learning cycle (5E and 7E); problem-based teaching method, project-based teaching method,) are explained. | ||
