Objectives of the Course | |||||
21st century skills are essential skills that learners must have in order to be successful in their present and future lives. Considering that the main purpose of education is to facilitate the adaptation of individuals to both natural and social life and to prepare them for the roles and responsibilities they will assume in the future, the importance of acquiring these skills is obvious. Within the scope of 21st Century Skills in Education course; It is aimed to introduce these skills to primary school teacher candidates and develop them. |

PO-1 Designs projects and activities related to the teaching profession by using the resources in the field. PO-3 Establishes a connection between Primary School Teaching and field disciplines. PO-4 Integrates theoretical, actual and applied knowledge in the field of Primary School Teaching with his/her life. PO-5 Uses enough information resources related to the field. PO-6 Knows the ways of accessing information and uses it effectively. PO-7 Evaluates the subjects of the courses given within the framework of basic knowledge in the field of Primary School Teaching with their methods, techniques and features and transforms them into knowledge. PO-8 Defines the conflicts to be encountered in the field of Primary School Teaching during the implementation process, collects evidence and develops solutions based on the evidence. PO-9 Having knowledge of curricula, teaching strategies, methods and techniques, measurement and evaluation related to this field. PO-10 Having knowledge of the nature of science, its sources, limits, accuracy, reliability and evaluation of validity. PO-11 Uses alternative measurement and evaluation methods and techniques. PO-12 Independently carries out tasks that contribute to teamwork on a subject related to the field of Primary School Teaching. PO-13 Takes responsibility in individual and team work and fulfills the task in harmony with the team members. PO-14 With the awareness of social responsibility, it plans and implements professional projects and activities for the social environment in which it lives. PO-15 Evaluates the acquired knowledge and skills with a critical approach. PO-16 Applies the most appropriate teaching strategies, methods and techniques, taking into account the developmental characteristics of the students, their individual differences, the characteristics of the subject area and their achievements. PO-17 Develops a positive attitude towards lifelong learning. PO-18 Having the ability to use Turkish properly and effectively in accordance with the rules, and to communicate well with students and parents. PO-19 Shares the problems in the field of Primary Education by solving them in accordance with the principles and stages of the scientific method. PO-29 Knowledgeable about the purpose, principle, vision, mission, structure and functioning of the Turkish Education System, classroom management approaches and concepts related to education. PO-33 Evaluates the achievements of the students in a versatile way by using alternative methods.
