Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach pre-service teachers what education and instructional technology is and the relationship between them, the development process-history of instructional technologies, ASSURE and ADDIE models, the characteristics that a teacher must have for effective instructional material use, the organization and placement of instructional environments, the importance and benefits of instructional materials in the instructional environment, the principles of preparing teaching materials and Web 2.0 tools.

Course Contents
Information technologies in education; teaching process and classification of instructional technologies; theoretical approaches to instructional technologies; new directions in learning approaches; current literacy; instructional technologies as tools and materials; design of teaching materials; designing thematic teaching materials; field-specific object warehouse creation, teaching material evaluation criteria.
