Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to enable students to comprehend physical activity and its levels, to measure physical activity of individuals, to calculate energy consumption due to physical activity, to prepare a project in the field of physical activity and to determine appropriate evaluation methods for studies.

Learning Outcomes PO MME
The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can comprehend physical activity and levels. PO-2 Gains in-depth knowledge of exercise physiology and training science and can use this knowledge in practical applications.

LO-2 Can measure physical activity of individuals. PO-2 Gains in-depth knowledge of exercise physiology and training science and can use this knowledge in practical applications.
PO-11 Adopts multidisciplinary approaches in sports sciences and can collaborate with other disciplines.

Course Contents
It covers the relationship between physical activity and health, physical activity and energy consumption, physical activity levels and metabolic equations, objective and subjective assessment methods of physical activity, applications related to physical activity assessment methods (for example, accelerometer use, IPAQ and its assessment), sample project reviews for physical activity studies and methodological problems in physical activity studies.
