Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to recognize the basic concepts of scientific research, to comprehend the importance of science and scientific research, to gain knowledge and skills about the steps to be followed in the scientific research process.

The students who succeeded in this course:
LO-1 Can explain the basic concepts of scientific research. PO-3 He/She effectively uses the knowledge she has gained by following national and international research and innovations in artificial intelligence technologies in education in her professional and academic life through her theoretical and practical studies.

PO-6 Plans and conducts scientific studies using research methods and techniques, independently or as a member of a team.
PO-7 Develops and applies data collection tools in scientific research and analyzes the collected data with statistical methods.

Course Contents
This course covers basic concepts of scientific research, definition of research problem and research questions, characteristics of quantitative and qualitative research, determination of sample, design of data collection tools, validity and reliability of research, experimental designs, relational research, survey research, case study, action research, reporting and scientific ethics.
