Objectives of the Course | |||||
The aim of this course is to gain the definition of value, its properties and classification, values education, approaches, the status of values in programs, their importance in terms of society, the role and competencies of the teacher, and the ability to plan and implement activities related to values. |

Conceptual framework: Character, personality/personality, value, virtue, morality, temperament, etc.; character development and education; family, environment and school in character development and education; definition and classification of values; the sources of values and their individual, social, cultural, religious, moral foundations; character and value education approaches and practices; intercultural differentiation in character and value education and the culture of living together; character and value education in terms of educational philosophy and goals; character/ teaching methods and techniques in value education; values in modern and multicultural societies crisis and education; value education in the human-cultural development process; Turkish education and culture history examples of values education, values education practices and research in Turkey; character and the teacher as a role model in value education. | ||
