Department of Coaching Education was founded by the formal decision dated 22.05.2017 under the School of Sports Sciences and Technology at our university. |
Students who have accomplished all the courses equal to 240 ECTS and have a weighted average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 are awarded an undergraduate diploma in “Coaching”. |

Candidates should take the Special Ability Test in order to apply for Coaching Education Program. The points taken from the Special Ability Test, YGS Points, National Sportsman Status and Sports Background status are all evaluated together and the Program replacement is done according to the calculated total score. |
Exemption exams from such lessons as Computer Sciences and English are held at the beginning of every academic year. Students who consider themselves capable of meeting the learning outcomes of such lessons are welcome to take the exemption test. Those who have passed the exemption test are exempt from the relevant lesson. |
Students are required to complete all compulsory and elective courses equal to 240 ECTS in the curriculum successfully with no failing grades, and to have a weighted average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00. |
The language of the instruction of program is Turkish and education period is 4 years. There are 30 ECTS courses every semester at program. The program has a total of 140 courses, of which 53 are compulsory courses and 87 are elective.The program consists of mandatory field courses, general culture courses, coaching educational courses and practical courses. |

Coaching Education Program Graduates; As a coach, a fitness or a match analyst in amateur or professional sports clubs in universities sports schools and technological colleges, as well as in Physical Education (Sports, Science and Technology) universities in all departments connected to General Directorate of Youth and Sports (Youth Sports Provincial Directorates, Education Department, Federations etc.) and autonomous federations, and Sports Colleges. |
Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate education can take graduate (master's and doctoral) programs, provided they have a valid grade in ALES examination and have sufficient knowledge of English language. |

Each student must register classes at the beginning of the semester. Students to enter final exams are required to attend at least 70% of the classes and at least 80% of the applications. Students shall be subject at least 1 midterm and 1 final examination for each course. (Success measurement tools and scores obtained from them used by the instructor's may also be included.) Contribution to success grade of midterm exam is 40% and final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated on 100 points. Students must obtain at least 45 from semester final examination. Students who manage to obtain one of those letter grades, (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC), are considered to succeeded. (DC) and (DD) are of the conditional success grades. Students received this letter grades must have at least average of 2.0 in order to be counted successful. Addition measurement and evaluation method applied for each course is detailed in "Course Plan - ECTS Credits". |
Students are required to complete all compulsory and elective courses equal to 240 ECTS in the curriculum successfully with no failing grades, and to have a weighted average of at least 2.0 out of 4.00 during the 4 years. |

There are a total of 11 classrooms ,1 laboratory area and also 16 rooms reserved for school directory, school secretariat, administrative bureaux and teaching staff. All classrooms in school have computer and projection equipment. In addition, there are 1 congress and convention center, 1 library, 1 sports hall, 1 stadium, 1 indoor soccer field, 2 tennis courts and 2 open basketball fields in the university campus. Research and education activities in the field of Coaching Education are carried out with 1 associate professor, 2 assistant professors, 2 research assistants and 4 lecturers. In addition, teaching stuffs from relevant faculties and departments of our university teach at our department. |
